Nosso Banco accedes to the collection of customs revenues through the

From September 22nd, Mozambique Customs counts with one more commercial bank for intermediation of the customs revenue, duties and fees collection through the single electronic windows platform (SeW).

The signing ceremony that was presided over by the President of the Mozambique Revenue Authority, Amélia Nakhare, was attended by representatives of NOSSO BANCO, Members of the CST (Higher Tax Council Members), representatives of MCNet, the company implementing the SeW system among other guests.

The agreement, signed by the President of the Mozambique Revenue Authority and by the Managing Director of NOSSO BANCO, will contribute in a similar manner to other participating commercial banks in the SeW, leveraging on its service network, to drive reduction in bureaucracy, the cost and time linked to the payment of taxes, as well as to ensure a greater transparency and control of the flow of State Revenues. In the light of the agreement between the parties, the bank should channel the revenues to the Single Treasury Account, in a deadline of 48 days. 
In a statement after the signing ceremony, the President of the Mozambique Revenue Authority, Amélia Nakhare affirmed that in the context of the strategic plan that the Mozambique revenue authority has celebrated with NOSSO BANCO, the Customs revenue collection intermediation agreement, creates conditions necessary for the implementation of the Bancarization of the payment of taxes that the Mozambique Revenue Authority is implementing for the collection of inland and foreign trade tax revenues.      14344830_1787015084919866_4936825480985469438_n.jpg 

14344827_1787015044919870_5367065299317926277_n.jpg      On his turn, the Managing Director of NOSSO BANCO, Mussa Tembe, said that by acceding to the electronic system for the collection of taxes, the institution he represents wants to contribute to the growth of the economy in the country. “This accession agreement to the Single Electronic Window will enable our clients, engaged in foreign trade, to benefit from the advantages of the system, such as the facilities for the payment of taxes and faster clearance of goods through customs", said the Managing Director.
