World Customs Organization Day

A workshop entitled "The Role of the SeW in the Innovation for Customs Progress", marked the celebrations of the anniversary of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), which occurred on 26 January, in the Cabo Delgado provincial capital, Pemba.


Workshops with the same theme, whose main message is the need to always create new ways of adapting to the customs procedures to the dynamics and development of global trade, also took place in other provinces of the country, namely Maputo and Sofala.

Under the theme "Innovation for Customs Progress", the celebrations of the International Customs Day were marked with sporting activities involving employees of the Mozambique Revenue Authority (AT) and invited companies.

Chaired by the Deputy Director General of Customs, Aly Malla, the central ceremonies were attended by members of the provincial government, Revenue Authority employees, traders, partners and members of the Single Electronic Window Implementation team.

During the occasion, certificates of merit were handed over to partners and Revenue Authority employees, followed by a cartoon exhibition about the history of customs and the cultural activities.
